The problem is - our default is to be either on a perfect health kick or feeling the need to make the most of our down time with anything deep fried, sweet, or [insert favorite 'forbidden' food here] (unfortunately that's how the restriction/binge cycle typically works)

Hi - I'm Sam

I want to start by saying thank you for being here and considering us to help you on your health and wellness journey.

I struggled with my weight my whole life - I was a serial dieter (a habit that started in my early teens) who had no confidence and although I desperately wanted to get healthy - I couldn't make anything last.
My harsh inner critic was always the loudest in the room and no matter what I did - I would always see the flaws, the negative, or tell myself I wasn't enough.

After I had kids I realized something had to change - I didn't want my kids to feel about their body the way I felt about mine. I didn't want them to learn dieting behavior or be trying to figure out how to get healthy later in life like I was.
I wanted them to have clear health foundations.

The problem was - I didn't have those myself. My default was either dieting or an all out binge palooza! I didn't have the healthy habits, the skills to be consistent or the right mindset to truly get healthy.

So I had to figure it out...

What I really wanted. What was important to me. What my motivations were.
I had to take a good hard look at how I treated myself and what I needed to reach my long term health goals.

Along the way - I found a passion for health and wellness that I didn't even know was there!

So I got my Personal Trainer Certification and Master Health Coach Certification so I could help empower women to eat, exercise and enjoy life - without dieting, and having a clear health foundation so they never fall 'off the health kick' again.

Using my bachelors degree in Education looking at how people learn and how to teach, and my health coach training looking at the science of behavior and what it really takes to change - I created our unique health refresh strategy to help women lay the health foundations they need to reach their long term health goals.

Pre-retreat questionnaire

During the day we work together to complete tasks and create your plan. In order for that to happen (in one day) we need to get you thinking about things ahead of time. Two weeks before the retreat starts we send you the questionnaire so you have plenty of time to sit with the questions and think about what you really want. Having these answered will make your day more efficient and successful.

Retreat Experience

We know an online retreat is not the same as attending a retreat in person BUT we know there are things we can do to help us have a full healthy and enjoyable experience. We send you our recommendations for the day regarding your surroundings, what you will need and even your food (we are all about the snacks!) so that you can make the most of your retreat. This is not a course or something you can multi task with. This is an interactive retreat where you will be present and focused on what you are going to achieve.
These recommendations are also based on the time zone you will be in on the day.

Why a retreat?

In order to really focus sometimes we need to get away from it all and give our goals our full attention. We also have coaching programs but found that sometimes people don't need a full program or are unable to commit to one right now.
So we decided to create an alternative to help people get started, heading in the right direction and working on getting healthy.
This is one full day to get your action plan together and be organized to get this whole healthy thing figured out. 
Plus - they are fun! We want you to have an incredible day with the best experience as well as achieving what you came here to do.

Is this creating a diet meal plan?

No. This is about creating those healthy habits and building those foundations of good health so you can then get further focused if you want to achieve those long term goals. We need a baseline of consistent nutrition (so not restricting or cutting out whole food groups!) in a way that's easy for you to fit into your life. As well as addressing the other areas of your wellness including movement and mindset so that when you make changes they are coming from a positive healthy place and you feel incredible on this journey.

What if I just want someone to do this for me?

Well we do have options for people who don't want to spend the whole day to pull this plan together and find that a coaching program might be a better fit for you. If this is the case then message us for more details and we can chat about what might be the best option for you.
